[1Th 5:18] KJV “In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.”
The Bible says that in EVERYTHING, GIVE THANKS
It is that simple and clear.
Everything means everything. Whether good or bad. God expects you to give thanks unto Him.
Thankfulness is an attitude. Gratefulness is an attitude. Gratitude is an attitude.
Giving of thanks is something that you as a person cultivates.
The Bible has told us to do so, but it takes personal choice for you to be thankful.
The Bible says that it is the will of God concerning us in Christ Jesus. It is God’s desire and it is His pleasure for us to give thanks unto Him in everything.
When we give thanks to God, we are acknowledging God above any circumstances or situation, and above every challenge that we are facing.
When we give thanks to God because of good things, we are telling Him that He is greater than all we have, and all that we possess.
Thanksgiving is also a way of praising God.
And that’s why you find that most of the time, people who are grateful for what they have end up getting what they don’t have. And it shows and act of faith, if you can go ahead and give thanks for what you need and you don’t have it yet.
If you give thanks to God because of something that u r believing Him to do for u n He hasn’t done yet, it means u have faith at work in you.
By this I said, THANKSGIVING IS A CHOICE.
Nobody forces you to be thankful.
It’s an attitude you cultivate
It sounds so simple, yet it’s a virtue. If you make a choice to be thankful, it will be part of you.
Until you make the choice, it can’t come out automatically. But you need to understand something that will help you cultivate that virtue.
Let’s go to the Word.
[1Ch 16:34] KJV “O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good; for his mercy endureth for ever.”
[Psa 106:1] KJV “Praise ye the LORD. O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.”
The Bible says give thanks. We have enough Scriptures similar to these ones I have posted up there.
The Bible say we give THANKS TO THE LORD, reason? HE IS GOOD.
Do u know if you understand the goodness of God you will forever be grateful?
The Bible didn’t say give thanks because u have a car, or a house or a wife or a husband. Or someone has a version of one that says so?
If u have a version that says so, kindly let me know. Let us know. Is there?
Thank u Jesus.
It’s not bad to give thanks for material things, don’t get me wrong. But then that means you will only give thanks wen you get some material thing.
Give thanks to the Lord, the Bible says! Reason??
HE IS GOOD.
Understand that God is forever good. Even in your challenges.
Lets look at this
[Psa 100:4] KJV “Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise: be thankful unto him, and bless his name.”
[Psa 100:5] “(Do all this) because the LORD is good. He is always loving and kind. He will always do what he has promised to us.”
God is good. He is always loving and kind.
He will do what He promised u. Wen u understand that God is a keeper of His Word,
U will always give thanks even without looking for a reason.
As u walk, as you do ur work, as you meditate, you will find yourself saying THANK YOU JESUS.
The main reason why we give thanks is because God is good. If u can understand that, you will never cease to give thanks.
