‘Patience is a inner calmness that comes from the knowledge that God is in control.’ Patience is accepting a difficult situation without giving God a deadline to remove it. When we are patient and confident we know God is at work in our lives.
In today’s world of technology, we can communicate with each other easily. Yet, when we have to wait for other things, patience is necessary. A seed cannot be rushed no matter how eager or how much we long to taste its fruit. When we know the Word of God the seed being cultivated and nourished by God’s Grace., we are able to share the Good News and give God the Glory.
Going through a storm, such as Job did, creates patience. Job’s type of storm or tribulation brought him into a closer relationship with God. Job’s trial not only brought him closer to God, but also strengthened his Faith in God.
Being patient is not always easy, however, as God has been and is so patient with us, should we not be patient with others? His patience and mercy brought us His Son. Amen~
But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.—Luke 8:15
